Numbers may have shuffled during the summer update. To quickly search for an old favorite,
click Edit, Find on This Page in the Menu Bar.

    2-player activity  Each player has a bee hive.  Click the spinner to see what number you get.  Find a shape with that many sides on your bee hive.  Drag and drop the number to the shape.  Try to complete a row as in tic-tac-toe.

    Click the pencil to advance. Read the question and move your mouse over objects that match the shape.

    Click the Little People Shapes and Colors Game button.  Listen for directions. It will tell you to color the oval pink for example. Click the correct color and then the correct shape.

    Located under the Pre-K tab. Rusty the Rat will walk across the screen to show you what kind of shape to catch. Use the arrow keys to move Rusty to the right spot to catch the correct shape.  Read the instructions first to know what other things you might see.

    Excellent flip & rotate activity. Click the Maybe Later button to bypass registration and go on to the activity.

    Click the Maybe Later button to go on to the activity. Click Choose a Challenge Topic at the top of the workspace, then Give Me a Challenge. Tip: Click the Help button to see what each tool does. Try the Flip tool to see lines of symmetry.

    Click the buttons along the top to set the rule. Drag & drop the shapes into place on the diagram. They will zip away if not correct.

    Click "Getting To Know The Shapes" to begin. Try checking the Transparent box then clicking a color and a side on the shape to color it. Color each side a different color.

    Area & Perimeter - Choose area, perimeter, or both and a level of difficulty.  Calculate the area or perimeter of each shape and type your answer in the box.  A hidden picture is revealed as you correctly answer.  Information on the picture is given when you finish.
     
  23. Bird's Eye View
    What's a polygon? This is the perfect place to find out. Click the Lesson button to begin. Read and click to progress. Locate the shapes in the bird's eye view pictures and answer questions along the way.
    Follow-up: Illustrate the shape your school. Use Google Earth to get a bird's eye view of your school, and see how accurate you were.

    Found in the Games category. Concentration game matching shapes with the number of sides. One or two player. How many sides does a hexagon have?
     
  25. Fraction Shapes
    Open the interactive area by clicking the link to online pattern blocks. Click the "Name" button, and then click any of the shapes to find out the name and some information about that shape. Create designs with the shapes. Rotate a shape if you need to by clicking the rotate button then the shape.

    Select your grade level, PreK-2, 3-5, 6-8, or 9-12, and then choose a manipulative. Read an activity and use the tools to complete the task.
    Tip - On the Geoboard you can click the Measures button. Clicking away from your shape on the board causes the Measures button to become ghosted. Click anywhere on your band if you want to use the Measures button. An Instruction button is available along the top if needed.
