  1. Sesame Street Letter of the Day
    Good site for presentation on the big monitor in your classroom. Cookie Monster will say the letter you see above him. Move your cursor over the letter to hear the sound that letter makes. Hover over a cookie to hear the word. Click Cookie Monster to see if he will eat that cookie. Choose cookies that begin with the letter of the day.

    Click a letter. Then click anywhere you want that letter's picture to appear on the scene. Have your speakers on. Listen to letters and words.

    Select a prepared spelling list or create your own. Play Spellify 500, Spellasaurus, Letter Drop, and more.

    Click on each word with the short o sound.  The idea is to stack 5 short o words. MORE activities are available by clicking the character at the top of the page.  "Fuzzy Lion Ears" is another good one.  Move your mouse over each letter to hear the sound it makes.  Then click the correct letter to spell the word.   41. The Missing Letter 
    Click in each blank box to type in the letter needed to spell the word.  HINT: Have Caps Lock on. Check each one as you go, and your total score is displayed at the top of the page.  Links to other games like this one at the bottom of the page.

    Found in the Kindergarten list of activities.
    Drag & drop the correct letter to fill in the blank and spell each word.  After you finish that group, click the blue arrow at the bottom to get another group.

  43. Spell-a-roo
    Click on the word that is spelled incorrectly in each sentence. Choose from 2 underlined words. Beginner and Intermediate levels.

    Click the letters in the soup to spell a missing word that completes a joke. 101 jokes available.

    Click Easy, Medium, or Hard under the Words category to alphabetize.

    Choose a suffix or prefix to add to the root word. Use the new word in a sentence.

  47. Spelling Bee by TVO Kids
    A virtual spelling bee! Listen for the word. Click in the blank field and spell the word. Press the Enter Key or click the Check Answer button to see if you are correct. Notice the Definition and Repeat buttons if you need help.

    Listen to the clue. Drag and drop letters to spell words and solve challenge questions from books - Corduroy, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Chrysanthemum, and Franklin in the Dark. 

  51. Scramble Saurus
    Unscramble the letters to correctly spell words.  Choose from several categories: Countries - somewhat advanced; good info along the way, Computers, Food & Nutrition, and other categories to choose from.  Displays score as you work.

  52. Stellar Speller from Candlelight Stories
    Click letters to spell the picture shown in the space helmet. 

  53. Book Worm
    Click connecting letter tiles to spell a word. Double-click the last letter tile of that word or click the Submit button to send it to the bookshelf. Helpful tips popup as you begin play. Be aware that if you scramble the tiles a burning letter tile appears. Use it as soon as you can. Don't let it drop to the bottom!

  54. Sign the Alphabet
    Two levels of difficulty. Identify the letter shown in sign. Multiple choice - level 1, and fill in the blank - level 2. Your score is shown as you play.

  55. Sticky Letters from Primary Resources
    Remove the instructions by clicking the blue Show/Hide Instructions button. Click letters you want to use. Drag them onto the card outlines to spell words. When you correctly spell a word, click the blue Send button to send each word to your Word Bank, which appears in the purple rectangle. Drag letters you don't want to use into the trash. Plus click a card outline to completely remove the letter if it still appears there.
