  • Use a digital camera or a disposable camera to go on a photo hunt in your own back yard. Create a book of birds, bugs, clouds, or anything that interests you. Research the Internet to find facts about each one you photograph. Try the Most Wanted Bug Mugs and the Insecta Inspecta to get started.  Then make a poster or flip book.

  • Ugly Bug Contest
Yeesh! Keep your eye out for these unusual critters! The ones that are reeeeally ugly! Read the contest rules and submit an entry for your class at the beginning of the new school year. Will your find be the winner?
Take a look at last year's winners, especially the one from Newcastle MIddle School - the Carolina Sphinx Moth. YIKES!

  • Pool Kids - Fun games to play in the pool in the Games section. Before heading out to swim watch and listen to Sonny's Safety List, and try the quiz.
